STAFFORD A 26-year-old local man has been charged with assaulting another man in a local restaurant's bathroom.
James W. Sprague has been charged with aggravated assault for the Jan. 5 incident at TGIF Fridays.
Police said the victim, 23, was a Little Egg Harbor Township man but did not identify him. The man was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Trauma Center in Atlantic City for treatment of facial lacerations, concussion and facial fracture, police said.
Police said they responded to a 911 call at restaurant and found a man unconscious in the men's bathroom. An investigation identified Sprague, who had fled the scene, as the assailant, police said.
Sprague was arrested at his home without incident.
Stafford Township Municipal Court Judge Damian Murray set Sprague's bail at $25,000 with no ten percent option.
Sprague was released after posting bail. A court hearing in Superior Court is pending.
