Strong thunderstorm headed for Ocean, Atlantic counties
The National Weather Service is warning that as of 8:16 p.m., a strong thunderstorm was off the coast of Atlantic City.
A strong thunderstorm is 13 miles northeast of Atlantic City moving southeast at 20 mph. It is expected to affect Atlantic, Burlington, and Ocean counties.
Very heavy rain is expected to pond on roads and quickly fill poor drainage areas. Wind gusts to 40 mph are possible.
Expect small hail and frequent lightning.
