The region could see more winter weather this weekend with a possibility of snow and sleet accumulation Sunday night, according to National Weather Service reports.

The agency’s Mount Holly office said temperatures are expected to dip from a high in the 40s into the 20s Sunday night, accompanied by snow and freezing rain. Light snow accumulation is expected in Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties, with moderate accumulation in Ocean County.

The snowfall is likely to continue through Monday.

Forecasters said there is a chance of rain for southern New Jersey after 11 a.m. Sunday. A mix of rain, snow, sleet and freezing rain is forecast overnight, with little or no ice accumulation. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch is possible, the weather service says.

Snow amounts of 4 to 6 inches, with locally higher amounts near 8 inches, will be possible for the central New Jersey and the Philadelphia area.
