A Somers Point couple were arrested and charged with selling the heroin that resulted in a drug overdose in their apartment Thursday while their seven-month-old daughter was present, police said.

The charges came after police were called to the apartment on Chapman Boulevard for a reported drug overdose and found the couple, Christopher Doyle 28, and Danielle Leeds, 26, both of Somers Point, their child and the male victim who had overdosed all present at the scene.

Doyle and Leads were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute and child endangerment.

They were transported to the Atlantic County Justice Center on a $100,000 cash bail and child services were notified of the situation, Boyd said.
