Some focused on school security, others on mental health and some on gun control, but for the students who participated in demonstrations Wednesday, the main message was support for the victims of school shootings.

Dubbed the #Enough National School Walkout and organized under the umbrella of the Women’s March, Wednesday’s event spanned the globe. Thousands of students in South Jersey participated.

Pleasantville High School’s planned walkout turned into an assembly in the gymnasium at the last minute, but students said they didn’t mind.
