Summer might be over, but the spirit of Boardwalk promotion is alive year-round in Ocean City, where town officials have hit upon this quiet celebration as a way of getting people to still stop by when the weather has gotten too cold to visit the beach. Events are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, including the Yawn Along and Maple Pod Drop, both scheduled for noon Friday in front of City Hall, 9th Street and Asbury Avenue. The festival continues Saturday with a performance by the wind chime band, 11 a.m. at the Music Pier, 9th Street and the Boardwalk, and a pin drop contest at the pier at 11:30 a.m.
_ Who frontman Roger Daltrey comes to Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa for shows Friday and Saturday at the Music Box theater.

_ If there's any doubt the holiday season is just around the corner, the Patcong Valley Model Rail Road Club Open House should put them to rest. Come see the running of the trains at the club headquarters on Route 40 in Richland. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
_ Don Henley of The Eagles comes to Caesars Atlantic City for a solo show 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $95, $125 and $150 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com
_ Gloria Gaynor, The Trammps and the Sugar Hill Gang are the headliners as the Disco Ball 8 rolls into the Trump Taj Mahal Saturday night. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets cost $50, $75, $95 and $125.
_ Forget the tragedies, some of Shakespeare's most entertaining plays were his comedies, and few are as good as "As You Like It." the Aquila Theatre brings the play to the Schmidtchen Theater, on the campus of Lower Cape May Regional High School at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. _ What's better than relaxing on a Sunday afternoon? Relaxing on the Atlantic City Boardwalk as hundreds of crazies try to force their bodies to run 26.2 miles. The Atlantic City Marathon kicks off on the boards at 8:30 a.m. in front of Boardwalk Hall. How long will it take? Expect the winner to cruise over the finish line at Boardwalk Hall in a little over two-and-a-half hours. That means you have enough time to cheer on your favorites and still catch a nice casino brunch.
