New additions are expected to arrive in Atlantic City during 2018, bringing housing, entertainment and a corporate office to the resort.

This week, several developments continued on various projects slated to complete next year.

Atlantic City Story: Waiting for 2018

The former Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort is transforming into the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City to open in summer 2018. This week, Hard Rock unveiled its first sign at the corner of Absecon Boulevard and Virginia Avenue.

South Jersey Gas is bringing a corporate headquarters to the city as part of the Atlantic City Gateway Project, as well as a Stockton University satellite campus. South Jersey Gas held a 'topping off' ceremony this week for the building slated to open at the end of 2018.

On this week's Atlantic City Story podcast, Nicholas Huba and Erin Serpico discuss what the week has brought in terms of development and what's to come in 2018.

Nicholas Huba also sat down with Wasseem Boraie, vice president of Boraie Development LLC, who is the developer of The Beach at the South Inlet, an $81 million residential complex featuring 250 apartments slated to open in summer 2018.
