Damage to Pleasantville Police vehicle

Officer Rackeli Fontana suffered facial injuries after crashing her police vehicle on Route 9.

PLEASANTVILLE — Fatigue and failure to maintain a lane were contributing factors in a city police officer’s crash into a pole in February, Capt. Matt Hartman said Monday.

Fontana was traveling south on New Road when her police vehicle struck a utility pole and a tree.

She is still recovering at home, Hartman said.

No return date has been set for Fontana, but she expects to be back to work soon, Hartman said.
