ATLANTIC CITY — Two city men were arrested Wednesday after police found them in possession of drugs and one was wanted on multiple warrants, according to a news release.

At 12:45 p.m., detectives from the Special Investigations Section were conducting a drug investigation and stopped a vehicle driven by Fernando Martinez, 25, in the 600 block of North Albany Avenue.

Police said the passenger, John Field, 25, was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants and was found with an ounce of cocaine.

According to court documents, Field was previously sentenced to pay fines related to theft charges and pleaded guilty to drug charges in 2016.

Field was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute and multiple content of court warrants.

He was taken to the Atlantic County jail in Mays Landing.

Martinez was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and was released on a summons pending a future court date.
