Councilman Joseph Rullo posted the video of his wife, Nancy, and an unidentified woman pushing the dolphin through the shallows to get it back in to deeper water.

The women were successful at first at getting the dolphin past a sandbar but the waves eventually brought it back in.

North Wildwood Beach Patrol Chief Tony Cavalier along with some North Wildwood firefighters were called and were able to get the dolphin to deeper water with a stretcher, according to a Facebook post by The Wildwood Sun by the Sea Magazine.
