ADORANTO, LEWIS A. SR. 81 - of Belleplain, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Vineland to the late Anthony and Victoria (Kubiak) Adoranto, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion of Woodbine and Commander of VFW Post 6257 Belleplain. Lew enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his antique cars. He was a life member of the Mauricetown Gun Club, and honorary member of the South Millville Gunning Club and Crooked Horn Gunning Club. He was also a member of the NRA, the North American Hunting Club, and the Operating Engineers Union Local 825. Lew is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judy (Clark) Adoranto; his three children, Lewis Adoranto, Jr. of Belleplain, Tina Marie Glassford (David) of Belleplain, and Rosemarie Ludlam (William) of Clermont; his three stepchildren, Tracy Turchi (Steven) of Woodbine, Marice Kozub (David) of Stowe, PA, and Lewis Hickman (companion Antonia) of Belleplain; his sister, Dolores Pettit of Belleplain; his brother, Anthony Adoranto of Belleplain; 12 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; five step- great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, John Glassford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Woodbine.
