Allegretto, Madeleine M. (nee Sannino), - 89, of Ocean City, NJ, passed away on September 15, 2017, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Born in Ocean City, NJ to Vincent and Dorothy Sannino, Maddy, was a lifelong resident of the community. She attended Holy Spirit High School, graduating in 1946. Shortly after high school, she met the love of her life, Andrew "Swifty" Allegretto. Together they raised 12 children in their home on Asbury Avenue. Maddy was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. Maddy built her life on her faith in Jesus Christ and never wavered from her principles. She always welcomed and cared for family, friends, and often opened her home to strangers. She devoted her life to helping others in need and lived sacrificially. Together with her husband, they started Allegretto Plumbing and Heating. They built this into a successful business that is still in operation today. Maddy and her husband, Swifty, were two of the founding members of Praise Tabernacle Church in Egg Harbor Township and built many meaningful relationships there over the years where she remained a member until her passing. Predeceased by her husband, Andrew "Swifty" Allegretto, she is survived by her 12 children, Michael (Kathy), Andrew Jr. (Trish), Madeleine McCusker (Jim), Vincent (Marianne), Rick (Karen), Joseph (Lissa), Mark (Reba), Anthony (Michele), B.J. (Annemarie), John (Elaine), Mary Henry (John), and David (Kendra). She is also survived by her 50 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
