Brunner, Eugene J. , - 66, of Atlantic City, NJ, died at home on Sunday unexpectedly. Born in Camden, NJ, Eugene was raised in Millville. He has spent the last 30 years living in Atlantic City. Eugene graduated from Pemberton Township High School class of 1969. Eugene received his B.A. from Rider University and then he received his Masters from Rutgers in 1995. He worked for the Cumberland County Health Department and then transferred to the Atlantic County Health Department where he had worked as a Supervisor Field Representative Disease Control. Eugene received various awards and commendations for his involvement educating the public about HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. He enjoyed running and playing tennis at the Union Lake Sailing Club in Millville. Eugene was a self-taught wine connoisseur and enjoyed traveling to the Napa Valley to broaden his knowledge of the different wines. He is survived by: father, Andrew Brunner; sister, Patricia Brunner; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday (219/2018) at the Parish of All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Millville. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home in Millville from 9:30am until 10:30am.
