Dangerfield, Ruth , - 84, of Smithville, passed away on Friday December 1, 2017, at Mainland Atlantic Regional Medical Center, Pomona, NJ. She was the only beloved child born to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Jessie Mae Mingo in Bamberg South Carolina. At an early age, Ruth moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey. After graduating Atlantic City High School, she moved to Philadelphia Pa, where she married and gave birth to two children, Antoinette Jo and Darcy Laray Dangerfield. She later moved back to Atlantic City, and began her career at the Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA", formerly known as "NAFEC"). Amid her tenure at the FAA, Ruth received extensive job training, which allowed her to advance within the organization. During this time, she bore her youngest daughter, Melody Medina Dangerfield; and is also survived by her one and only beloved granddaughter Kaden Martyn Bernstein, as well as Mrs. Pamela Burch, a close friend of the family, of whom she considered as a fourth child. Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, December 9, 2017, Union Baptist Temple, 335 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9AM.
