DICKEL, CHARLES ROBERT "BOB" 75 - of Pleasantville, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Ocean View Nursing Center in Ocean View. Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong resident of Pleasantville. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1961-1963. After being discharged from service, he began his own business, Bob Dickel Custom Cabinets, where he continued to work for the next 50 years, until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife. He and his wife were members of the Jersey Gems Motor-home Club. They traveled with the club seeing different parts of the country. He is survived by his wife, Joyce C. (Schmoll) Dickel; his children, Charlene (Jason) Fiedler and Bob (Laura) Dickel; and his grandchildren, Tyler Robbins and Morgan Dean. A memorial gathering will be 5PM to 7PM, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to the Humane Society of Atlantic County, 1401 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
