HAMMOND, WESLEY JUSTUS 83 - of Pleasantville, departed this life and went home to be with The Lord on March. 2nd, 2014. Born in Stone Harbor, NJ to the late Justus and Cordelia Hammond, he attended the Camden public school system and later entered the United States Army, where he served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After returning from service, Wesley worked as a HVAC Engineer for PM Kohr Refrigeration in West Creek, NJ. His Brother, Howard Hammond, preceded him in death. Wesley is survived by: his loving wife, Hannalore Hammond of Pleasantville, NJ; four daughters, Daisy Michaels (Mike) of Mays Landing, NJ, Ilene Hammond-Akpassa (Jonas) of Pleasantville, NJ, Mischelle Roberson (Kevin) of Atlantic City, NJ, and Priska Conrad (Julius) of Atlantic City, NJ; one brother, William Hammond of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Viola Preston of Camden, NJ; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; the entire McAllister family; and a host of other loving relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10th, 2014 at 12pm at the All Wars Memorial Building New York & Adriatic Avenues Atlantic City, NJ. Viewing from 10am to 12pm. Wesley Hammond was a honest, hard-working man who loved his family. He was interesting to listen to as he told many stories of his days growing up and his "dad" the minister. He talked about his service days and the time he spent serving in the military.
He will be sadly missed by all...but not forgotten.
