Hinshillwood, Florence V. (nee DiProspero), - 89, formerly of Sea Isle City and West Deptford, entered into life eternal on September 14 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Deptford. Florence was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, William W.; her son, William J.; her sisters, Angelina Budka and Mary Kleesattel; and her parents, John and Mary (Croce) DiProspero. Florence leaves behind six children: Christine Rohrman (Russ); Judy Giumetti (Hector); Florence Bennett (Gary); Nancy Nichols (Michael); Martin; and Francis (Sharon). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosalie Kraemer; and brothers, John and Louis DiProspero. After graduating from Woodbury HS in 1945, Florence worked as a clerk for the City of Woodbury. She married the love of her life in 1947 and was busy for the next 35 years raising seven children. When her children were young, she enjoyed working as an Avon Representative. Volunteering was always part of Florence's life. She was an active member and Past President of the women's group of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Woodbury and Past President of the Colonial Manor PTA. After her husband retired in 1986, they moved to Sea Isle City and together they volunteered at many organizations including Messiah Lutheran Church, Sea Isle Historical Society, AARP Chapter 710, Building Bridges program of the local public school, the Young at Heart group of Ocean View and the Sea Isle Garden Club. Florence always loved cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting. She spent many days sewing patchwork quilts and lap blankets that were donated to Lutheran World Relief, the Ocean View Lutheran Home and the Woodbine Developmental Center. Family and friends are invited to Budd Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 20: viewing 9:30-11 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Messiah Lutheran Church, 2298 N Rte 9, Cape May Ct House, NJ 08210. Memories may be shared at www.buddfuneralhome.com.
