Hoffner, Michael , - 57, of Bridgeton, died Thursday afternoon November 30, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland following a brief illness. He was born in Bridgeton on July 21, 1960 and was the son of the late Jere R. Hoffner Sr., who died in 2003, and the late Lena Ciamberlano Hoffner, who passed away in 2005. A resident of Bridgeton for most of his life, Michael was a graduate of Bridgeton High School in 1979. He worked in the casino industry for several years and had been the casino credit executive director for the Trump Taj Mahal and the Atlantic Club in Atlantic City. He also had worked for the Tropicana Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. He is survived by one brother, Jere R. Hoffner Jr. of Newfield, one sister, Lillian "Sue" Spadoni of Vineland, one niece, Tara Spadoni of Vineland and one nephew, Aaron Spadoni of Redmond, WA. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Joan Hoffner. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who knew Michael perform a random act of kindness to honor him. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home in Bridgeton.
