JEFFERSON, D'SHANTAE - was born on December 2nd, 1968, and went to her eternal rest on April 1st, 2014. She was a loving and devoted child of Olivia Jefferson; and a sister and friend to Linda LaStella. She was an adopted mother to Tene Long, Robert Broome, and Chris Sabb. A loving friend to Wylisha Bell, Chantel Curtis, Tammy White, Brian Walker and so many others. D'Shantae attended Holy Spirit High School and graduated from Atlantic City High School. She also attended Morris County College. She was employed as Assistant Director of activities at Young at Heart in Asbury Park for several years. She worked for Macy's and other well-known establishments. She dedicated most of her life in the entertainment field and was recently honored and awarded as Entertainer of the Decade by the Atlantic City gay community. D'Shantae had an intense love for sewing, music, performing, nurturing, and the arts. She was a very multitalented person who was loved and will be missed by so many. Services will be 11AM, Monday, April 7, 2014, St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, 108 Pennsylvania Avenue, Atlantic City, where friends may view from 10AM-11AM. Interment in Atlantic City Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.greenidge funeralhomes.com.

    To my dear sweet friend, I am blessed we reconnected on Facebook, and we kept each other in prayer during our sicknesses. Heaven has a new angel, and I have a new guardian angel! Rest in peace Darlin'

    Sorry for your loss, my prayers goes out for you in this time of grief. One thing gives my family comfort....the bible's hope of the resurrection.
