JONES, GEORGE W. 87 - of Ocean City, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at The Shores At Wesley Manor of Ocean City, NJ. Mr. Jones was born February 2, 1927 in Homestead, PA and had lived in Mt. Laurel and Haddonfield before moving to Ocean City. He is the son of the late George H. and LaRose (Gemmill) Jones. He served in the United States Navy See Bees during World War II. He retired in 1990 from Campbell's Soup, Camden, NJ after 34 years with the company. He was predeceased by his first wife of 47 years, Ann Buckley Jones in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann (Allison) Jones; three daughters; Patricia Ann (Scott) Colantonio of Atco, NJ, Pamela (George) Farrell of Elsinboro, NJ, Mary Elizabeth Ann (Karl) Imkeller of Millwood, NY; and two sons, George Thomas Jones of Stratford, CT, Timothy (Heather) Jones of Medford, NJ; two sisters, Patricia Bozarth of Washington, DC, Jo Ann Talbott of Washington, DC; and one brother, David Jones of Merritt, NC; step- daughter, Linda (Gary) Elder of Parsonsburg, MD; step- daughter, Janet Hein of Bradenton, FL; step-son, William (Susan) Anker of Londonderry, NH; five grandchildren, Christian, Mathias, Jonathon, Avery Anne and McKenna Rose; six step-grandchildren, Jay, Steve, Lauren, Brian, Kevin, Erin; and three step-great- grandchildren, Zekiel, Kyazen and Bryn. A Service of Memory and Love will be offered Friday, April 11, 2014 at 7:30 at The Godfrey Funeral Home Of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ were friends may call from 6:30 until time of service.
