Lee, Frederick, - 86, of Dorothy, "Fred" or "Freddy" as he was known by all who knew him, died of complications from Alzheimer's on October 9, 2017 at Cooper Hospital surrounded by family. Fred was born November 19, 1930 in Leesburg, NJ to parents Thomas and Ethel Lee. He moved to Dorothy in 1964, where he has been a resident for the past 53 years, and was owner of Lee's Flying A gas station. He then worked many years at Wheaton Glass. He was usually found junking, fishing, working with greenery, hanging with friends, or just riding around town. He was always busy. Everyone who met Freddy had a story. Fred is survived by sisters Marion Evans of Cederville, NJ and Kathrine Lee of Kentucky. By his children Ethel Campbell of Atlantic City, NJ, Susan Endicott (Harold Jr. -predeceased) of Cumberland, NJ, Lena Solomon (Wayne Sr.) of Dorothy, NJ, Sandra Cossaboon (Eddie) of Delmont, Linda Raum (Edward) of Hensley WV, and James Lee (Sandra) of Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Fred and Peggy also raised their grandchildren Victoria Knowles, Rodger Lee, and great-grandson Donny Foster. Fred is also survived by 35 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Peggy Lashley of 55 years; siblings Leroy, Louetta, Lester, Doris, Ethel, Albert, Carl, and Herbert; children Freddy, Lily, Cindy, and Rodney; and grandchildren Leroy, Roland, and Steven. Fred was a great family man and a loving father. Friends and family are asked to celebrate Fred's life Saturday, October 14, 12:30-1:30 pm with services at 1:30 pm at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ 08330. Burial will immediately follow at Seaville Methodist Cemetery, 3100 Shore Rd., Seaville, NJ 08230.
