Lloyd, Julia R. DeAscentiis, - passed away in her home in Naples, FL on April 1st, 2017. Julia was born and raised in Devon, PA on Sugartown Road by her wonderful parents, Maria Rosa Dominick DeAscentiis and Constantino DeAscentiis. She is survived by her son, David Lloyd and daughter, Constance Mary Lloyd-Halpin, son-in- law, Thomas M. Halpin, Jr.; her beautiful grandchildren, Kirk and Sadie; her younger brother, Vincent Michael DeAscentiis and his wife, Karen. Julia attended Radnor High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Philadelphia Museum of Art School. She enjoyed her career as an art teacher in the AC School system for many years. Julia would return to her childhood home every weekend in her '65 Ford Mustang convertible. Through a teachers bowling league, she met the love of her life, David Lloyd. The DeAscentiis family finally allowed the fellow teacher to wed their only daughter and a lifelong alliance was held across the lands. David preceded her in death. After raising the family in Egg Harbor Township and each having a creative life and careers, they embarked on a dream retirement in Sunny Southern Florida where friends and family would celebrate life. Julia's passions in life in addition to her family and the church, included art. Not just creating, but enjoying museums, shows, and enjoying other artists work; cooking, current events, reading, her avocado and mango trees. She was also a world traveler. We will always love and remember her sense of humor. As she and her mother, Mary would often say, "Have a drink and be somebody! " A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Julia's honor on Monday, April 24th, 11:00AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Somers Point, NJ. For online condolences visit www.FullerNaples.com
