Mawhinney, Luigia "Gina", - suddenly passed away in her home on Thursday, March 16th, 2017. Born outside of Rome on November 23rd, 1952 to Frank and Virgilia Tuccinardi, she came to Atlantic City in 1958. Gina was a graduate of Atlantic City High School and longtime member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Absecon. She worked for many years at Quality Chocolates in Central Square in Linwood, and recently had become a part of the Jagielky's Homemade Chocolate's team. She was very devoted to The Lady's Charity League, and the Miss America Organization. She also enjoyed working in her yard, spending time with her six grandchildren, and decorating the house for every holiday. Gina is survived her brother, Lorenzo (Linda) Tuccinardi and her sister, Maria (Stan) Richards; her children, Robert (Christy) Mawhinney, Christina Mawhinney, and Kathleen (George) Epp; her grandchildren, Joe and Shannon Votta, Molly, Keegan, and Logan Mawhinney, and Gabriela Epp; her brother-in-law Joe (Mary) Mawhinney and sister-in-law Ellen (Jim) Keough. She is predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Robert Mawhinney; parents, Frank and Virgilia Tuccinardi; in-laws, Joe and Ann Mawhinney, and brother, Pasquale Tuccinardi. Friends and Family may call between 8:30 and 10:00am on Tuesday, March 21st at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Absecon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am.
