Pankrat, Sergio, - 56, of Gallows Road, Gretna passed Monday evening, April 17, 2017. He was the husband of Dawn Payne Pankrat. He was born May 11, 1960 in Brazil, a son of the late Victor Pankrat and Olga Harmarsh Pankrat Him. He was a truck driver and loved the "Walking Dead" television series and riding his Harley Davidson. Also he was a proud Special Forces Ranger in the U.S. Army. Most of all, Sergio had a special love and affection for his granddaughter, Yasmin. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Patrick M. Collins, Jr. of NJ; four daughters, Dawn Marie Thompson of NJ, Dasiree N. Pankrat of KS, Patricia M. Howard and her husband, Kevin of OH, and Krystal L. Collins and her fianc‚, Ricky Turner of Gretna; eight grandchildren, Meadow, Yasmin, Isabella, Gabriella, Kevin, Annalisa, Nevah, and Nickel; and friends, Joe Barron, Marvin Dewease, Tex and John Welch. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. David Moquin with military honors by American Legion Altavista Memorial Post 36 and Gretna Post 232. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m., Friday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the residence.
