Paull, Shirley K. (Klineberg), - 84, of Vineland, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She met her husband Stephen at Syracuse University, where she married and graduated and then moved to Vineland. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Shirley was a trained social worker, employed with the Vineland Health Department for many years, later becoming the assistant librarian at Landis Middle School and eventually the librarian at the Beth Israel Community Library, where her greatest joy was reading to the three and four-year-olds from the adjacent nursery school, and watching them mature into young adults. She was active in the community, having served on the board of directors of the Cumberland Regional Health Plan; board of directors of OMNI/CARE (The HMO), where she was in charge of helping solicit doctors for the organization; she served on the board and then as president of Family Planning of Cumberland and Gloucester counties. Shirley was also active with the Beth Israel Congregation, serving as vice president of the sisterhood, and was honored at a national convention as a Woman of Achievement for her efforts. She ran the synagogue gift shop and was a life member of Hadassah. Her last request was she didn't want flowers or eulogies or mourning, but a celebration of life. My sincere sympathy to you and your dear love ones. May you find comfort in these words found at 1Cor. 1:3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. The comfort that we can get from God regarding our decease is that at John 5:28-29 talks about a resurrection hope on earth. So the resurrection tells us about Jehovah's love and undeserved kindness.
