Riegel, Jeffrey Clayton, - 56, of Port Republic, on a not so beautiful golfing day, August 18, 2017, left this Earth to finish a long overdue game of golf. He was a wonderful husband, uncle, brother and son. In his smiling way he had a kind word for all and always saw the best in everyone. He was the last truly, completely good man. No one that met him failed to love him. He was a true and loyal friend to many. He had his own greetings for his friends, Geno was "hey handsome", Warren was "hey man", Debi was "hey sunshine", and Louie was" hey @#@%*"( inappropriate text). Jeffrey was also known as Toad, Pup, Uncle Fred, or as he told the oncologist on his last days "just call me Lucky", was born on September 5, 1960 in Atlantic City and graduated Mainland High School 1978. He was a very proud member of IBEW Local 351. He recently had been dividing his time between Port Republic and Matlacha, Florida. He leaves behind his inconsolable wife, Donna Lee (McGinnis); his mother, Barbara Sloan; his father, Clayton Riegel (Louise); sisters, Debbie Widman(Raymond), Donna Gaffney(Andrew), Kim DaPrato, Debra McGinnis, and Dee Kaufman(Dan); brother, Andrew Riegel; and countless nieces, nephews, union brothers, and lifelong friends. He was beloved by all. God gave Jeffrey the miracle of time to prepare which allowed him to verbalize his last wishes. He requested to have 8 Philadelphia Eagles as pall bearers so the Eagles can let him down one last time. Visitation will be Thursday, August 24th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Service will begin at 12:00 PM at St Paul's United Methodist Church , 118 Main Street , Port Republic, NJ with interment immediately after in the Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd, Galloway 609-641-0001. For condolences or directions, please visit wimbergfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to St Paul's United Methodist Church in Jeffrey's name.
