Wilson, Walter Jr., 85 Town Bank, passed away on Wednesday Nov. 8, 2017. A permanent Cape May County resident since 1995, Mr. Wilson was born and raised in Upper Darby, PA. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduating from Upper Darby High School in 1951. He flew many missions as a gunner and an air refueling technician in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War and retired as a Tech Sergeant after serving 20 years. He was a District Executive for the Southern Council of the Boy Scouts of America in Cumberland County and, after receiving a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts from Cumberland County /Glassboro State College, went on to be a 7th/8th grade science teacher/reading specialist, and championship baseball coach at Richard M. Teitelman School in Lower Township for 14 years. Mr. Wilson was a substitute teacher in that system for 10 years after his retirement in 1992 from full time teaching. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Walter, Sr. and Annie Mae Wilson, a son, Dwayne Wilson, a granddaughter, Stacey Wilson, his beloved uncle, Everett Jackson and aunt, Clair Ackroyd, and his faithful companion ‘Lucky’. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane Villari Wilson, 8 children: Terry Hinsdale (Dave), Deborah Hausman (Rick), Cheryl Crammer , Walter Wilson III, Michael Wilson (Anita), Ronald Wilson (Sandy), Sharon Stalford (Al), and Jennifer Wilson, 2 stepchildren, Robert Friant and Michele O’Neill (Anthony), 30 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and many loving relatives and friends. Walt and his wife Diane were avid Square Dances for over 20 years, enjoyed camping and RVing and traveled in all 50 states together. Walter was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a Life Member of the Property Owners Association of Town Bank. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in Walter’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Mr. Wilson was a great teacher and friend. He made homeroom fun and science a blast. He will truly be missed by many. I was blessed to have him in my life! Rest in peace and know that you touch so many peoples lives.
