Worrell, Jon Timothy "Tim", - 80, of North Cape May, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his home. Tim was born August 26, 1937 in Vincentown, NJ; formerly lived in Camarillo, CA; and has been a Cape May area resident since 2003. He is the son of the late Benjamin and the late Mary (Haines) Worrell. Tim served his country in the US Air Force and Air National Guard. He was employed as a Mechanical Engineer at Lenox China, Syracuse China, Briggs Ceramics, Latchford Glass, Voi-Shan Aerospace in CA, and Vogue Sign Company in CA. Tim was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Villas, was a member of the South Jersey Wave Alumni Association for Girard College, and enjoyed playing golf and swimming. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepson Billy. Tim is survived by his wife of 41 years: Barbara (Bobbie) DelPrete; his daughter Cynthia Wagner; his son Christopher Worrell; one sister; and 4 grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 1220 Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Tim's memory to the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church Roof Fund, 1220 Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251. My hope is to share a measure of comfort that has helped me when loosing a loved one. I love how in John 5:28,29 God promises to bring back those who have died by means of a resurrection,fulfilling this promise on earth.(Revelation 21:3,4)
