How could LoBiondo have voted for climate bill?

On June 26, U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-2nd, voted with the Democrats in favor of the cap-and-trade bill - the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. In this time of economic crisis, record foreclosures, increasing unemployment, businesses and industries fleeing America due to suffocating regulations, LoBiondo voted to close the energy valve on what little American industry still has a pulse.

The whole rationale for the existence of the paralyzing cap-and-trade scheme is based on the so-called global warming "consensus" that man's activities are producing significant temperature increases.

The fact is that 31,478 American scientists (771 from New Jersey) have signed a well-known public petition saying, "There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth."

Of course, the congressman knows something more than these eminent American scientists. He knows which side his political bread is buttered on.

Congressman,

you lost my vote

The cap-and-trade bill was passed by a narrow seven votes in the House. This bill will create higher taxes and higher utility bills that will affect the middle class the hardest.

Our Republican congressman, U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-2nd, voted yes on this liberal-minded bill. This just proves the Republican Party has moved to the left of center, inching further away from the conservative values that once were the Republican platform. Well, Frank, you just lost my vote.

Will LoBiondo

join Specter now?

I am interested to see how long it will take U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-2nd, to jump ship and join Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., on the other side of the aisle. In fact, I am anxious for him to do so.

I stuck by LoBiondo, admittedly with great hesitation, when he broke his solemn pledge to serve no more than six terms in the House. But his wavering on so many issues in the recent past and his current jump to the other side to vote affirmatively for cap and trade has forever cast him as the wimp that he is. I pray that his name never again appears on the Republican side of the ballot, or I shall certainly jump ship.

I was an ardent supporter of Mr Lobiondo. That has now come to an end. I cannot believe that in the face of out of control taxes, fees, cutbacks in Govt Services, and the overall cost of living that we are saddled with in NJ, that he would vote to send this economically destructive bill to the U.S. Senate for approval. I never thought that his elected position would come before the wishes of his constituents.

Peter Boyce just keeps confirming how politicians spin information to catch dummies that form opinions based on tunnel vision. This so called "public petition" signed by 31,478 scientists claiming no human influence on global warming, was a Global Climate Coalition founded in 1989 and funded by industries and investors tied to fossel fuels. It began unraveling in 1997, and disbanded in 2002...all bull based on trying to undermine increasing evidence to the contrary.

Shame on Frank. He said it wasn't political, but whatever it was it certainly wasn't for the benefit of the people.

Lo Biondo lost his credibility when he continued to seek office even after running on a platform of term limits. He learned to love the notoriety and the perks that came with the job. Why is anyone surprised as to the actions of these phonies?
