Hans Toft climbs up the stand at the back of the school to check and band osprey chicks. According to Toft, this is the first year osprey have nested on the technical high school property. Toft's students also construct and erects osprey nesting stands in the marsh as part of their class studies. Hans Toft, natural science teacher at Cape May County Technical High School, and a volunteer group of his students, ventured into the back-bay marshes between the high school and Stone Harbor, to count and band nested osprey chicks as part of the state's bird banding program.
