EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Atlantic City Police issued a traffic advisory Tuesday morning at the Black Horse Pike due to minor flooding.

The Black Horse Pike westbound at exit 2 is reopened about 11:19 a.m. It was closed earlier due to flooding in West Atlantic City, police said. Drivers were asked to seek an alternate route or use the Atlantic City Expressway out of the city.

Persistent southeast winds and the recent Supermoon, full moon brought the bays into minor flood stage Tuesday morning, said Press Meteorologist Joe Martucci. Typically, in minor flood stage, the coastal waters overwash onto shoreline roadways. This can cause difficult driving conditions, but will not affect any homes or buildings.
