Parkway improvements

Problem: Traffic at Exit 36 onto Tilton Road backs up onto the southbound Garden State Parkway

Proposed solution: Build an accelerator lane on Tilton Road and a deceleration lane on the Parkway.

Problem: Traffic entering the parkway at Exit 38 from the Atlantic City Expressway backs up

Proposed solution: The current ramp narrows from two lanes to one. The authority will widen the ramp to accommodate two lanes.

Problem: Exits 37 and 38 are close together, causing unsafe weaving with vehicles exiting the parkway an Exit 37 and entering at Exit 38.

Proposed solution: Build a ramp to separate the entering and exiting traffic.
