The Cape-Atlantic League American Conference overall and Division I champ Absegami and Division II champ Hammonton each will have a tough time defending their respective titles.

The Braves graduate 16 seniors from this seasons’ team that reached the South Jersey Group IV final. Hammonton graduates nine seniors from a team that reached the semifinals of South Jersey Group III.

Perennial powers Ocean City and St. Augustine Prep each will return plenty of talented players.

Middle Township will have to overcome the loss of 28-goal scorer Jacob Cowan but returns most of its team and will be favored to repeat as CAL National Conference champion. Sacred Heart’s Steven Tobolski scored 23 goals and will enter his junior season with 40 career goals. Tobolski will look to emerge as one of the top goal scorers in South Jersey.
