Arlene Craig scored 16 points to help Atlantic Cape Community College beat Mercer County Community College 51-44 in women's basketball Friday.
Craig is a sophomore guard out of Absegami High School. Niesha Reid (Atlantic City) and Kerry Player (Cape May Tech) each scored six points to go with 14 rebounds for Atlantic Cape, which trailed 23-22 at halftime. Stephanie Ford (Pleasantville) added 10 points.
The Buccaneers improved to 3-2, while host Mercer fell to 0-2. Atlantic Cape plays at Mercer again today at noon against Delaware Tech Stanton.
