Dave Housel hit a solo home run and an RBI single to help Margate beat Northfield 3-2 in an Atlantic County Baseball League game Thursday night.
Pat Goodwin had two hits and an RBI for Margate (6-0). Winning pitcher Joe Noyes struck out five and allowed five hits.
For Northfield (3-3), Nick Zeniuk hit an RBI double.
Wildwood 6, Absecon 3: Nic Long went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Wildwood.
Matt Morey and Rich Dufee each had one hit and an RBI for Wildwood (5-1).
Winning pitcher Dan McNamara improved to 2-0. He struck out four.
E.J. Stoltzfus went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Alex Bennett went 2-for-3 for Absecon (5-3).
Ventnor 5, Egg Harbor City 2: Artie Ocasio had two hits and two RBIs to lead Ventnor (1-3) to its first win. Mike Chontos, a 16-year-old, tossed a complete game in the win.
Anthony Ardente had two hits for Egg Harbor City (4-3).
Ocean City 7, Egg Harbor Township 2: Max Bell gave up three hits in five innings as Ocean City (1-5) earned its first win of the season.
Rich Carlucci hit a two-run double in Ocean City’s six-run fifth inning. Brian Khoury had two hits and two RBIs and brother Drew Khoury two hits and an RBI.
Max Shockley hit a solo homer for EHT (1-6).
