Charlie Law struck out 12 and only gave up three hits as Maragte improved to 16-2 with a 4-2 win over Wildwood on Wednesday in the Atlantic County Baseball League.

Eric Fitzgerald had a three-run home run in the first inning.

Wildwood (7-9) scored a run in the fifth on an RBI single by Tim Gallagher and its other run in the sixth on a fielder’s choice. Wildwood’s Mark Malec gave up six hits and struck out eight.


Ocean City 2, Hammonton 0: Right fielder Andrew Meyers made a diving catch with two outs and two on in the seventh inning to preserve victory for Ocean City. Koyla Stephenson went seven innings, allowed four hits and struck out 10 as O.C. improved to 9-7. Stephenson and Rick Carlucci had RBIs.

Hammonton’s Billy Jackson held Ocean City scoreless in relief from the third inning on.
