Hammonton beat Absecon 6-5 in 11 innings in their Atlantic County Baseball League season opener on Wednesday at Hammonton Lake Park. Frank Galeota scored the winning run from second base as he took third on a wild pitch and scored on the same play on an errant throw to third.

Galeota singled to start the inning and Shawn Park's sacrifice bunt put him on second.

Galeota had three hits and two RBIs for Hammonton. Billy Jackson pitched four shutout innings of relief to get the win.

For Absecon, E.J. Stoltzfus hit a solo homer. Absecon tied it with at 5-5 with two runs in the seventh inning.

Ventnor 7, Egg Harbor City 4: Ventnor's John Bruccoleri pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts and went 3-for-5 at the plate. Teammate Juan Mejia was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.

John Husta tripled for Egg Harbor City.
