Margate beat visiting Hammonton 5-3 on Friday as Jason Law hit a two-run tie-breaking homer in the bottom of the seventh inning. Eric Fitzgerald had singled. Margate is 12-2.

Margate’s Aaron Cox went the distance and gave up seven hits, while striking out 11. Fitzgerald also had a double and an RBI, and Troy Dixon three hits and an RBI. For Hammonton (9-4), Nick Crescenzo and Billy Jackson each had two hits.

Ventnor 5, Wildwood 0: Winning pitcher Brett Uhing went four innings and gave up two hits, with six strikeouts. Ventnor reliever Mike Chontos worked the final three innings of no-hit ball, striking out six. Also for host Ventnor (6-3), Junior Mejia went 2-for-4 with and brother Juan Mejia had a hit and two RBIs. For visiting Wildwood, Nick Long had a hit and was twice hit by a pitch.
