The Galloway All-Star (9-and-under) baseball team swept the Cal Ripken District 8 Tournament, finishing with a 10-8 win over Egg Harbor Township in the final Sunday.
Owen Mehler drove in the game-winning run with a double. Quinn Mason went 3-for-4.
Dylan Scaranda and Chris Dolan pitched in the championship game for Galloway, which advances to the state tournament starting July 24 in Brick Township.
District 16 (11-12) baseball
Hammonton 10, Brigantine 0: Winning pitcher Kyle Snyder had seven strike outs and went 2-for-2 with the game-winning home run. Matt Colon was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. D.J. May went 2-for-2 with a three-run triple. Rocco Orbille was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Hammonton plays Middle Township on Friday in Brigantine.
Middle Township 9, Stafford Township 4: Justin Lent was 2-for-3 with two three-run home runs. Nick Jones scored two runs. Winning pitcher Tyler Norris had five strikeouts.

Little League (14-and-under) baseball: Hammoton 9, Cape May County 6.
Softball (from Tuesday)
Greater Wildwood defeated Lower Cape May 6-2 in a District 16 (ages 13-16) All-Star softball game.
Winning pitcher Danielle Aydelotte had 10 strikeouts, and she also tripled and scored four runs.
Amber Holden doubled for Lower.

Little League (9-10) softball: Pennsville 12, Salem 0, four innings.
Junior League (12-14) softball: Penns Grove 9, North Cumberland 3.
