Eagles tackle Shawn Andrews is seeking another medical opinion before he has another back surgery.
Coach Andy Reid said Friday that Andrews is scheduled to meet with a specialist in Dallas. Andrews has been undergoing rehab in Marina Del Rey, Calif. since the start of the regular season with Dr. Robert Watkins. Watkins repaired two herniated discs in Andrews' back last year.
"He just hasn't made much progress from the rehab," Reid said in quotes provided by the team. "It's not from a lack of effort. He's been very diligent and has been working his tail off. Backs are sensitive things and there are a million different things that can go wrong.
"For a while he was doing OK and then he had some setbacks. It just kind of leveled out where his back is still bothering him."
