Striped bass are going for metal jigs and chasing trolled lures Monday at Cuma Lumps off Corsons Inlet, according to a report from Fin-Atics in Ocean City. Big Hopkins and Diamond jigs seem to be effective worked on the bottom. The trollers are using umbrella rigs with spoons trailing behind them.

John Battastinni of Ocean City sometimes makes a dash out to Great Egg Inlet with wet gear covering a suit and tie, Fin-Atics reported. He had three bass Saturday.

There have been numerous limits of tautog on the Ocean City-based partyboat North Star. Saturday was no exception with at least one 12-pounder on board.
