There are plenty of fish around the area for those anglers with some time off for Thanksgiving. There are some rough conditions but at least Little Egg and Great Egg inlets and the back bays have produced some nice striped bass.
Scott Albertson at Scott's Bait and Tackle in Mystic Island said Wednesday morning that one boater fishing L.E. had non-stop action for 1 1/2 hours. That angler set up at one spot and did not do much, and moved to another before connecting.
The south side of G.E has some nice bass, according to a report from Fin-Atics in Ocean City. The skippers anchor with clam in the day and eels at night.
Albertson reported bass weighing 21 and 8 pounds were caught Tuesday night at Pebble Beach, so they are still in Great Bay.
Andy Grossman at Riptide Bait and Tackle in Brigantine said Mike Skelley 21 and 14 pound bass in Broad Creek behind Brigantine.
Most of the bass in the Great Bay/Little Egg area are taking clam.
