PHILADELPHIA - Phillies pitcher Jamie Moyer has been hospitalized due to recurring symptoms from groin surgery in September.

The team announced Wednesday that Moyer, who turned 47 last week, has been admitted to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. No further information about his condition was available.

Moyer tore muscles in his groin during a September game. He had surgery but was hospitalized shortly after with a blood infection.
