Hammonton High School's Scott Hummel scored 10 minutes into the second half and the Blue Devils beat Holy Spirit 1-0 in a Cape-Atlantic League boys soccer game Tuesday.
Vince Wilson made 10 saves in the shutout.
Dom Ruggeri had six saves for Holy Spirit.

Girls volleyball
Oakcrest High School beat Winslow Township 2-1 in a girls volleyball match.
Game scores were 25-20, 25-27, 25-9.
Jessica Hare had 11 kills, six aces and two blocks for Oakcrest (3-13). Sarah Chamberlain had five aces, eight assists and two kills. Candice Silipena had 11 assists, two kills and an ace. Lauren McMunn had five aces and a block.

The game scores were 16-25, 25-13 and 25-20 as host OLMA ended the regular season at 17-3.
Ashley Ridgeway led the Villagers with nine kills, while Kathryn Shollenberger had four aces and two kills, and Taylor Thompson added five kills.
