Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ray Emery (29) deflects a shot as Andreas Nodl (3) and Oskars Bartulis check the Colorado Avalanche’s Wojtek Wolski Monday night.

The Flyers end a tough road trip tonight against the New York Islanders at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Comcast Sports Net.

The team suffered its third straight loss on Monday in a 5-4 defeat at Colorado. The Flyers have just one win on this five-game trip, which came in Los Angeles on Nov. 18.

Danny Briere, who will miss the game due to a suspension for a hit in the Colorado game, has been the Flyers' hottest player with 16 points (10 goals, 6 assists) in 17 games. Jeff Carter also has 9 goals and 12 assists in 21 contests.

Flyers right wing Arron Asham (strained oblique muscle) is out 7-10 days, while Darroll Powe (hand/wrist) is day-to-day. Simon Gagne is out 4-6 weeks with a hernia and Blair Betts is expected to miss four weeks with a dislocated right shoulder.

With a victory, the Islanders can pass the Flyers in the standings.
