The Atlantic City High School girls swim team led off the South Jersey Public A final at Gloucester County Institute of Technology with eight straight wins, but top-seeded Cherry Hill East (13-0) dominated the final three events to win its second straight title 93-77 on Thursday.

Atlantic City, seeded second, was competing in its first sectional final since 2010. Seniors Melissa Toy and Colleen Callahan were double winners for the Vikings (12-1).

Toy took the 50-yard freestyle in 24.56 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 53.13.

Callahan touched first in the 200 individual medley in 2:08.02 and the 100 butterfly in 58.81.

Freshman Amber Glenn also won two events with wins in the 200 and 400 freestyle.

Cherry Hill East turned it on with a sweep in the 100 backstroke event, led by Jamie Lynn Brookover.
