Egg Harbor Township beat host Ventnor 2-0 in the Atlantic County Baseball League on Thursday for its first win of the season. EHT's Lucas Junger pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and three walks. Teammate Zach Meyer doubled in the winning run in the top of the sixth inning.

Jeffrey Attenbaun led off the sixth for EHT (1-4) with a single, Meyer doubled him in. Vince Jiacopello walked and an error loaded the bases. Rob Algeo hit into a fielder's choice to drive in the second run.

Mike Chontas pitched five innings for Ventnor (2-2) and and faced one batter in the sixth. Chontas struck out seven.

Team Univers 6, Egg Harbor City 1: Bobby Barbieri went 2-for-3 for the Team Univers (2-1), and hit a two-run single in top of the fourth inning.

Chris Caprio added two RBIs, and Mike Earling, AJ Scibilia and Jonathan Martinez each had a hit. Team Univers pitcher C.J. Kaenzig went the distance and allowed four hits, with seven strikeouts and three walks.

For EHC (0-4), Dan Seaver singled in a run in the fourth, and Jim Seaver had two hits.

Margate Hurricanes 14, Wildwood 7: Margate trailed 7-5 but scored nine runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Margate loaded the bases in the seventh on two walks and a Dan Coia single. Doug Hiltner hit a bases-clearing double to make it 8-7.

Eric Fitzgerald hit a two-run homer and a solo homer for Margate (5-0). Winning pitcher Lou Pepper gave up five hits.

For Wildwood (1-3), Nick Long had two hits and Curtis Gift hit a three-run double.
