Hammonton beat host Egg Harbor City 4-1 Monday in the Atlantic County Baseball League.
Winning pitcher Bill Jackson went six innings and struck out 10. Hammonton reliever Anthony DeLeo worked a scoreless seventh inning to pick up the save. Also for Hammonton, Trevor Rosenberg had two hits, including a two-run double, and Matt Gabrielski added two hits and a run. For Egg Harbor City, George Homan had an RBI single.
Margate 8, Team Univers 1: Winning pitcher Lou Pepper had a no-hitter through five innings and struck out five with two walks. Pepper was taken out because pitcher's duties were being split by Margate to prepare for the ACBL playoffs. Margate is 21-2.
Jared Lenko worked the final two innings. Margate's Eric Fitzgerald hit his 13th homer of the season, a solo shot in the first inning.
Fitzgerald had two hits and four RBIs. Teammate Scott Evangelist led off the game with a solo homer. Jason Law, Ross Costello, Dan Coia and Tom Bradway each had two hits for Margate. For Team Univers (7-15), Jordan Barbone had two hits.
Wildwood done: Wildwood has forfeited its remaining regular-season game and decided not to enter the ACBL playoffs.
This & That Uniforms 12, Ventnor 10 (Sunday): This & That, of Egg Harbor Township, jumped out to a 12-1 lead after five innings and held on to win. Matt Zacharides had three hits and four RBIs for the winners, and Bobby Stevens had three hits and three RBIs. Pitcher Matt Shantaue went 5 innings to pick up the win. Shantaue allowed nine hits and struck out five. This & That reliever Gio Contreras recorded the save by getting a groundout with the bases loaded.
It was the fourth straight win for This & That (7-14).
