Margate beat Ventnor 8-1 on Friday to improve to 20-2 and clinch the top seed in the Atlantic County Baseball League playoffs.

Jason Law had two hits and two RBIs and Eric Fitzgerald hit a two-run home run. Winning pitcher Doug Hiltner struck out five. Ventnor’s Juan Mejia had three hits.

Absecon 4, Hammonton 1 (Friday): Dan Allen and Mike Isgro combined on a one-hitter to help host Absecon (16-5) win its eighth straight game.

Anthony Cocuzza went 2-for-3 with a double for Absecon, while Isgro and Matt Allen each had RBIs. Dan Allen was 1-for-1 with a walk.

David Chappine had the lone hit for Hammonton (13-9), and he added an RBI on a bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning.

his & That Uniforms 13, Egg Harbor City 5 (Thursday): This & That Uniforms won its third straight game, beating Egg Harbor City to improve to 6-14.

Winning pitcher Chris Jablonski had two hits and two RBIs. Jeff Attenbrunn went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and Zach Meyer had two hits.

Egg Harbor City’s Billy Husta had three of the team’s five hits.

This & That Uniforms takes two from Wildwood (Wednesday): Winning pitcher Gio Contreras struck out 13 in a complete game three-hitter as This & That Uniforms (Egg Harbor Township) won the first game 5-2.

Chris Jablonski and David Greck each had two hits and two RBIs.

Wildwood’s Nic Long had two hits in the loss.

This & That won the second game 2-1 in 10 innings.

D.J. Stinsman struck out 14 and gave up two hits while pitching all 10 innings. Pinch runner Bret McCauley scored the game-winning run on a passed ball following a strikeout in the 10th.

This & That’s Rob Algeo doubled.

Wildwood’s Ricky Palmer also pitched a complete game and took the loss despite striking out 13.
