Tim Crawford struck out seven to lead the Margate Hurricanes to a 3-1 victory over host Absecon in an Atlantic County Baseball League game Friday night.
The Hurricanes broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Charlie Law that scored brother Jason. Dave Housel scored an insurance run on a throwing error.
Zach Goodwin had two hits and an RBI for Margate (6-1).
Sean Olsen had an RBI single in the fourth inning for Absecon (5-2).
Margate Green Wave 6, Egg Harbor City 2: The Green Wave (3-4) used a three-run third inning to pull ahead of EHC (1-6). Ross Costello and Rick Butchery each went 2-for-4, including RBI doubles in the bottom of the third.
For Egg Harbor City, Rich Kryjewski hit an RBI double.
